About the role
As Finance Director, you are responsible for the overall global financial performance and governance of the Business Unit. You are a core member of the global leadership team and play a central role in shaping and executing the business strategy. You will have one junior controller as a direct report.
The role combines:
Hands-on financial leadership with strategic perspective
Close involvement in operations and performance management
Increasing focus on commercial topics such as pricing, margin development, customer mix and growth initiatives
Active participation in M&A activities, including due diligence and integration
You will work in an international environment, collaborating closely with local management teams and Group Finance. The role is based at Trelleborg’s headquarters in Trelleborg, Sweden, with regular travel mostly within Europe.
Key responsibilities
Ensure high-quality, timely and compliant financial reporting across the Business Unit
Act as a strategic business partner to the Business Unit President and leadership team
Drive performance management, including analysis of sales, pricing, margins and cost development
Lead planning and forecasting processes (annual and long-term)
Drive working capital performance and cash flow management
Act as financial gatekeeper for investments and capital allocation
Support M&A activities, including business case evaluation, due diligence and integration
Contribute to ongoing development of systems, processes and ways of working
Lead and influence the finance organization across the Business Unit
Sponsor for global implementation of new ERP (D365) within the Business Unit
Your profile
We believe you have a solid foundation within finance, combined with a strong interest in the business and its drivers.
You likely bring:
Experience from a manufacturing environment, with strong understanding of operations
A background in business control, finance leadership or similar roles
Experience working in an international organization
A genuine interest in commercial topics, such as pricing, growth and profitability
Experience in performance management and financial planning
Exposure to M&A, change management or transformation initiatives is an advantage
To succeed in this role, you need to be:
Business-oriented and analytical, with the ability to turn data into action
Comfortable challenging and supporting senior stakeholders
Proactive, hands-on and able to operate in a fast-changing environment
A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across the organization

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations with a focus on payroll accounting, fixed assets, treasury, and month-end closures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all entries and schedules are completed accurately and on time
Prepare and review balance sheet schedules, ensuring proper reconciliation and documentation

Maintain and update fixed asset register, lease records, and inventory accounting

Raise and manage intercompany invoices and ensure netting compliance

5+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, and financial operations

Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity / intercompany environment is preferred
