About the Job

Working with the Service Manager, and as a key member of the Field Services Delivery and Support department, we are looking for a sophisticated Service & Commissioning Engineer to coordinate, install, maintain, repair and service our range of electronic hardware / software-based control and safety systems at our customer sites globally.

This is a vital customer-facing hands-on engineering role which may be undertaken in shipyards, onboard ships, offshore installations, or terminal installations anywhere in the world up to 70% of the time.

Tasks & Responsibilities will include:

  • On-site coordination, installation, commissioning, repair, modification and troubleshooting of all products. Routine Maintenance tasks e.g., Site Surveys, Technical Audits, System Health Checks, Spares Management, Obsolescence Reporting, System and software upgrades.
  • Helping customers to fault-find and resolve problems via telephone, remote access, email etc. and where required, to respond to the customer’s site to carry out emergency repairs. This will include ‘out-of-hours’ work. Customer technical liaison including conducting System and Site tests before acceptance.
  • Completion of pre-mobilization documentation; detailed Technical Customer Service Reports and other project documentation.
  • In-house testing of products as well as being responsible for Customer Factory Acceptance test and Site Acceptance tests. Internal support to other departments including Systems engineering and the Design departments.
  • Training of customer technical representatives including managers, superintendents, maintenance engineers and operators. Training of new staff members as well as staff members who may visit the Singapore office from regional offices.
  • Assist, when vital, in the development or upgrading of internal service / department procedures and documentation.
  • Organization of logistics and project preparation for Customer visits. Maintain and update Customer project files to a high standard after Customer visit.
  • Discuss and recommend technical solutions with Customer and Project Manager. Accurate updating of the install data base.


About the Ideal Candidate

  • Must have one of the following as minimum, HNC/HND/B.Sc./B.Eng in Electronic Engineering or equivalent proficiency. Internal training will be provided on our products and systems. Prior experience preferably within service and commissioning engineering, ideally in the marine or Oil & Gas sector (will consider candidates from utilities and similar heavy industry Sectors).
  • Site-based experience in electronic / electrical / software (SCADA, PLC or DCS) control and / or safety systems maintenance, fault finding, repair, modification (including wiring and fitting / assembly), testing and commissioning. Understanding of basics in analogue / digital design, power supplies and distribution annunciators, Networks/comms etc. and/or PLC/DCS software programming capabilities.
  • Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills (English) and able to collaborate closely with customers in territories, worldwide. Strong Customer-Facing Skills, Provide excellent Customer support directly via email/remote access/telephone.
  • Be able to lift/carry approx. 30 kg of equipment or equivalent– reasonable adjustments can be made.

Extrusion Pilot Line Operator

The Extrusion Pilot Line Operator is responsible for operating a state-of-the-art pilot extrusion coating line used for research and development at a new manufacturing facility in Forest City, NC. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our product innovation process, helping transform ideas into market-ready solutions while upholding our strong safety and quality culture. This role reports directly to the New Product Development Manager and works closely with product development engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a complex machine from a central control panel while coordinating/helping other team members in support activities.
  • Executing processes that strictly adhere to company standards and guidelines.
  • Monitoring and evaluating prototype outcomes to determine areas for improvement in collaboration with new product development engineers.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of process parameters, prototype data, and quality control metrics.

  • Conducting regular safety and 5S audits to ensure work environment is optimized to safely and efficiently execute trials.

The Maintenance Technician will perform the necessary functions to complete other types of work orders while operating alone or with a team and the daily tasks of filling fluids, emptying of refuse and helping or running production within the cells if needed.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Demonstrate safe and ethical work practices. Ask for help when needed or unsure.
  • On time completion of assigned PM’s.
  • Daily maintenance tasks include checking and filling oil and coolant, cleaning machines, collecting trash and recyclables.
  • Complete other assign work orders on time working alone or assisting as part of the team.
  • Help in production areas or run machines when needed.
  • Perform industrial/plant functions; carpentry, painting, plumbing, miscellaneous facility repairs, and minor electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and replaces equipment and/or parts as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of all duties performed.
  • Works with outside maintenance crews for more specialized projects.
  • Take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, or named active lead, for all maintenance related work and from the cell lead when helping with production.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Demonstrates understanding, support and consistent application of our Vision, Mission and Core Values
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1-year previous maintenance experience, trade or technical school preferred. Must have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and all types of production/industrial machines. Should also have prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal; includes building relationships with team.

Due to the inherent danger when preforming maintenance functions, the candidate must be able to communicate clearly in English. This includes both verbal and written forms.

Must be able to function alone or as part of a team.

Must be able to pass internal forklift and scissor lift certifications

Must understand and follow the Lockout/Tag out procedure as required.

Must understand and follow Hot Work procedures.

Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with ability to read drawings and schematics for both.

Ability, or ability to learn, to operate specialized tools used in electrical, carpentry, plumbing and related building trades

PC skills included MS Office, QualTrax, JDE and CMMS systems.

Math skills including basic geometry and trig.

Ability and willingness to document findings and tasks preformed. To accurately track and document your use of time.

To prepare records and reports for use both inner departmentally and for presentation to others.

Reading and interpreting manuals, specifications, drawings and blueprints.

Ability or willingness to learn to operate machine tools.

Must have a high level of attention to detail.

Hydraulic experience or skills are a plus.

Welding and fabrication skills a plus.


Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used

This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout a scheduled shift.  Must be able to work with heavy machinery with an ever-changing workload.  Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and hold a forklift certification.

Om vores stillinger i produktionen
Vores produktionsafdelinger arbejder med alt fra blanding af råmaterialer, formning af rør og drejning af tætninger på CNC-maskiner til vask, rens, kvalitetstjek og manuel efterbearbejdning af emner.

Arbejdsopgaver i afdelingerne:

Mould – rørproduktion
I Mould arbejdes der med vores råmaterialer i pulverform. Her blandes råmaterialerne i store spande, hvorefter pulveret, under højt tryk, presses til rør i både større og mindre formpressere. Efter rørene er blevet presset, sendes de til sintring, hvor de færdigproduceres i vores ovne. Arbejdsopgaverne kan inkludere tungere løft. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Mould består af:

  • Afmåling og blanding af råmaterialer i pulverform
  • Indstilling og montering af formpressere/kerner
  • Manuel påfyldning og overvågning af formpressere
  • Afmontering og manuel kvalitetskontrol af færdigpressede rør

Drej – drejning af tætninger
I Drej arbejdes der videre med de færdigproducerede rør, som her ved hjælp af CNC-maskiner drejes til vores højteknologiske tætninger. Vi kører alt fra enkeltstyksproduktion med mange omstillinger til højvolumenproduktion, hvorfor der er variation i det, der produceres. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Drej består af:

  • Drejning af tætninger i PTFE og andre plastmaterialer
  • Tilpasning af programmer og værktøjer på CNC-drejebænke
  • Kvalitetskontrol ved brug af manuelt måleudstyr og visionsmaskiner
  • Elektronisk registrering til dokumentation af kvalitetskontrol
  • Bearbejdning i PTFE-materialer

Efterbearbejdning – visuel inspektion, efterbearbejdning og pakning af ordrer
I Efterbearbejdningen foregår den sidste del af produktionsprocessen. Her foregår meget af arbejdet ved manuel og visuel inspektion af tætningerne, men nogle emner kan også have behov for særlig efterbearbejdning i form af vask eller ved, at der laves særlige spor eller huller i tætningerne. Når produkterne er visuelt kontrolleret, skal de pakkes efter ordrernes anvisninger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i Efterbearbejdningen består af:

  • Manuel og visuel inspektion af færdigproducerede emner
  • Vibrationsafgratning samt vask og rens af emner
  • Fremstilling af spor og huller i tætningerne
  • Overvågning og betjening af automatiserede maskiner
  • Pluk og pak af ordrer

QC – kvalitetssikring af produkter før, under og efter produktion
I Quality Control er kvalitet af højeste prioritet. Her kvalitetssikres vores produkter både før, under og efter produktion, og det er QCs ansvar at sørge for, at vores produkter overholder de kvalitetsstandarder, vi lover vores kunder. QC har en bred kontaktflade, og du skal derfor trives i en udadvendt rolle samt være god til at samarbejde og kommunikere med kolleger på tværs af afdelinger. De overordnede arbejdsopgaver i QC består af:

  • Stikprøvekontrol af emner i alle størrelser og godkendelse af færdige produkter
  • Kontrol af Notch, Cut og afsyrede produkter
  • Assistere produktionen med måleteknik m.m.
  • Udarbejdelse af manuel og elektronisk dokumentation

Vores produktion kører døgnet rundt, og du vil derfor få mulighed for at arbejde i fast skift fra mandag til fredag på enten dag-, aften- eller nathold. Det er dog sjældent, at vi får ledige stillinger på daghold. Uanset hvilket hold du bliver en del af, sørger vi naturligvis for grundig oplæring og løbende udvikling, så du bliver godt klædt på til opgaven.

For os er det ikke så vigtigt, hvad du tidligere har arbejdet med, eller hvilken uddannelsesmæssig baggrund du har – vi tror nemlig på, at hvis man har evnerne og den rette indstilling, vilje og gå-på-mod, så kan resten tillæres. Det vil dog være en fordel, hvis du har en faglig relevant uddannelse, eller hvis du har relevant erfaring fra tidligere beskæftigelse.
