Software Engineer Testing

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer - Testing to join our IT Innovation Campus at Bangalore location. One of the main responsibilities is to help to improve the efficiency and productivity of the business. We are now increasing our output and to meet delivery excellence goals, for our Bangalore team, we are currently looking for a Software tester, to raise the bar of our software testing and strengthen the team.

The person suited for this role must at-least have 2 years of IT background with software testing experience and has been in a position in earlier employment that was highly exposed to an international business environment.

The key responsibility is to understand the requirements, develop the test procedures, carry out software testing, identify bugs/defects and report them in the defect tracking system. They have to ensure that the software product is reliable, bug-free, functions as intended and full fill customer expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery
  • To accomplish the team's overall test objectives, apply business and functional expertise, including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology
  • Engage actively during sprint ceremonies to understand sprint goals, clarify functional details, and provide inputs on effort and complexity
  • Ensure that all the user stories planned for the sprint are delivered within the iteration
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Sr Test Engineers, Scrum Master and Development engineers to ensure project success
  • Communicate pro-actively on all aspects of progress, issues, improvement opportunities, etc. during the project
• Technology
  • Own and drive manual testing for applications developed using technologies like SharePoint online, Office365, MS SQL and Azure.
• Process
  • Understanding of Agile/SCRUM delivery process
• Quality
  • Own and Drive quality criteria across the entire delivery life cycle starting from requirements through to final deployment
  • Own all aspects of quality for the project - test script creation, execution, test script management and overall deliverable quality
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising "Quality First" focus and approach to work and delivery
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with the team to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Responsible for functional quality deliverables
• Customer
  • Think on end-user perspective to ensure that all deliverables align with customer/PO expectations, and promote the end-user perspective within the team during the analysis of requirements and test case design

What You'll Bring:

• BE or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with information technology/test background or equivalent
• Experience with close cooperation and daily contact with international colleagues
• Required to have at-least 2 years of software testing experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English
• Pro-actively seeks improvements to the way we do work and test solutions. Always stays updated with latest technologies and can map new opportunities to our organizational goals
• Ability to take direction, constructive criticism, and work to specified deadlines
• Positive attitude, decisive but humble when needed, puts the team first

• Good Soft-skills and assertiveness – specifically to build trustful, collaborative relationships
• Must Have skills:
  • Strong knowledge in testing the applications developed using technologies like SharePoint online, Office365, MS SQL, Azure etc
  • Must have used the tools: Azure DevOps/Jira/Rally, MS SQL Server management studio, Microsoft Test Manager
  • Strong background in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Strong knowledge in Testing Methodologies, Testing Types and Techniques.
  • Strong Knowledge in testing web applications in different browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari)
  • Should possess “Test to Break Attitude”
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into high-quality test cases
  • Experience in using any of the bug tracking tool like DevOps/Jira
  • Provide expertise in test case planning, preparation, and execution.
• Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in testing Automated Business Process using automation tools.
  • Knowledge in OOPS concept and programming language (basic) like Java or any other language
