The Manager Business Development Data Centers, leads efforts to expand TSS presence by identifying technical solutions, driving material and product development, and coordinating testing programs that support customer engagement. The role is measured on growth and margin performance, supports global sales teams in targeting key customers, and manages major opportunities by coordinating customer interactions, sales support, and R&D activities to develop and qualify application-specific solutions.
Data Centers are an identified speedboat niche for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions due to the strong underlying market growth and its overall attractiveness for TSS due to the high technical requirements, major lifetime and reliability expectations and a reduced set of potential competitors. The focus applications are cooling and in particular the fast-growing liquid cooling applications.
Other applications in data centers, such as the semiconductor and energy applications are dealt with by the respective segments.
The Manager Business Development Data Centers is responsible for developing our approach to participate in this growing market. The role includes the identification of technical solutions, including the initiation of material developments, new designs, and major test programs to establish relevant technical literature to support customer interaction.
The role has no immediate profit & loss responsibility but will be measured in growth and achieved margins. The commercial ownership of customers and opportunities continues to reside with the respective sales entities.
The Manager Business Development Data centers is supporting our sales teams and business development functions in sales globally to penetrate identified key customers in this field. The role is responsible for developing a comprehensive overview of key target customers and supporting the approach and penetration of those customers.
Managing key opportunities is a key responsibility for the role and includes customer interaction, supporting sales / business development team, as well as coordinating R&D efforts in developing and qualifying solutions for the applicable application conditions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Engineering.
5 – 10 years of experience in sales in an industrial environment.
International and intercultural experience.
