About the role
As the Sales Team Manager for PG Filtration you will be responsible for leading and driving sales across six key business segments: Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), Petrochemical & New Fuels, Data Centers/Digital Infrastructure, Power Generation, After Sales, and the Agent Network. Your role leads and coordinates the sales team to achieve annual order intake targets, overseeing business development, domestic and international quotations and proposals, commercial and contractual negotiations, and the effective handover of secured projects to Project Management and Operations. Additionally, you will drive effective CRM adoption, manages the sales pipeline and forecasting process, and support the Managing Director in developing 3-5 year business plans to deliver sustainable growth. You will work closely with the BU Marketing Team, the role ensures sales and marketing activities are aligned with business priorities and market opportunities.
About your responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with overall business goals and manufacturing industry trends to drive revenue growth.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure individual and collective success.
• Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring effective communication between the sales team and clients.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and competitive trends in the manufacturing sector, informing sales strategies and positioning.
• Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with other departments to develop accurate sales forecasts.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.
• Sales Training: Provide ongoing training to the sales team, ensuring they are well-versed in product knowledge, industry trends, and effective techniques. - Sales
• Process Optimization: Streamline and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve the overall effectiveness of the sales team.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to support sales initiatives and maximize return on investment.
• Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback, incorporating insights into product development, marketing strategies, and overall customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
• Compliance: Ensure that the sales team operates within legal and ethical guidelines, adhering to industry regulations and company policies
About you
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are often advantageous.
Experience
• Proven experience in sales and business development management, preferably with experience in a sales leadership role within the manufacturing or shipping industry. Other experiences in managing team of people are also considered.
• Proven experience within the valves, pipeline, petrochemical, LNG, natural gas, chemical processing, or related industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of target market segments, customer buying behaviors, and stakeholder dynamics across the specification and project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated success influencing and managing specification-driven sales processes.
• Technical background preferred, complemented by strong commercial and business development capabilities.
• Track record of delivering profitable growth and successfully expanding market share within industrial sectors.

Location and Travel
