Summary of the Role:
Drive sustained delivery, quality, capacity and growth performance across assigned manufacturing locations. The role provides cross-factory performance governance, working with factory leadership, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Sales to ensure operating targets are achieved, resources are aligned with demand, and growth programs are launched successfully. The Manufacturing Performance Manager will lead regular business reviews, convert gaps into time-bound recovery and improvement plans, and escalate risks that could affect customer commitments, profitable growth or rate readiness.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Monitor factory delivery and quality performance against agreed targets, customer commitments and business plans; identify adverse trends and ensure recovery actions are established, owned and completed.
• Facilitate structured monthly and quarterly business reviews with assigned factories, using a consistent scorecard covering safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, people, cash and growth execution.
• Challenge and support factory leadership to drive continuous improvement, strengthen execution discipline and sustain measurable gains in operating performance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance and factory teams on annual forecasts, budgets and operating plans, ensuring demand assumptions are translated into realistic production, capacity and resource requirements.
• Assess capacity, staffing, skills, equipment, tooling, supplier and facility constraints; maintain visibility of gaps and drive mitigation plans before customer delivery is affected.
• Lead cross-functional manufacturing readiness for new product introductions, product transfers, growth programs and rate increases at designated sites.
• Establish program readiness reviews with clear milestones, owners, due dates, risks and escalation paths from opportunity award through stable serial production.
• Ensure industrial plans are aligned with commercial priorities, customer timing, quality requirements, capital needs and expected financial returns.
• Support factories in developing robust action plans for delivery recovery, quality improvement, productivity, cost reduction and capacity expansion.
• Maintain a consolidated view of factory risks, dependencies and resource needs; provide concise performance updates and recommendations to H&A, Engines & Space leadership.
• Promote replication of proven practices between manufacturing sites and strengthen standard work for factory performance management.
• Partner with Quality and Operations to ensure corrective actions address root causes and produce sustainable improvement rather than short-term containment.
• Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing delivery, quality, capacity, resource planning, forecasting and operational improvement across a factory or multi-site network.
• Experience leading NPI, industrialization, product transfer, capacity expansion or production rate-readiness activities.
• Working knowledge of aerospace quality expectations and structured problem-solving methods; familiarity with AS9100 and AS13100 is beneficial.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecast translation, capital justification and business case evaluation.
• Experience influencing plant and functional leaders without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
