Human Resources

This role provides HR administrative support across all TSS- Operations sites. The ideal candidate will effectively manage administrative tasks including for Fort Wayne: Filing, mandatory testing for union positions, NHO, attendance, OJT, badging, TV announcements, job postings and bid winners postings and all other duties needed to support the union. For other Operations sites, this role will support hiring by submitting process director requests, posting requisitions internally and externally after approvals, and scheduling interviews. Some screening for DL roles will likely be necessary as well.

Detailed Description:

• Filing
  • Maintaining active vs terms files
  • Records retention
• Coordinate hearing, vision, misc. Mandated testing for production workforce
• New hire orientation
  • Coordinates schedule with presenters
  • Primary contact for orientation
• Attendance
  • Issues write ups
  • Maintains FMLA log - emails payroll approvals/denials
  • Monitors babysitter notes, doctor's notes, excused absences, etc.
  • Runs weekly 5 and up report for ops team
• Maintains OJT status, HR-001
• Create badges as needed
  • Look up door swipes as needed
• Creates PowerPoint deck that is shared weekly on our TV's and in Ideagen
• Creates job bid postings and bid award winner postings
• Creates birthday cards monthly
• Submits HR expenses into JDE
  • Such as care packages, retirement mugs, supplies, etc.
• Org Chart: Ensure organizational chart, job descriptions and job titles remain current and aligned. Recommend and implement changes when necessary.
• Process Director requisition submittals and approvals for TSS-HR operations
• Post requisitions internal and external for TSS-HR operations
• Interview scheduling and DL candidate screening for multiple sites as needed
• Other tasks and projects as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 Associate degree in a Business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field or In lieu of formal education a minimum 5 yrs experience in an administrative role

About the Job

The Human Resources Business Partner is a key member of the Nottingham Site Leadership Team and serves as the site's senior HR representative. The role partners closely with leaders and employees to align people strategies with business objectives, build organisational capability, and foster a high-performing culture.

Acting as a trusted adviser to managers and leaders, the HR Business Partner provides practical, commercially focused guidance on people-related matters and supports organisational effectiveness through engagement, talent development, workforce planning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities  

• Serve as a member of the Nottingham Site Leadership Team, contributing to organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and business performance.
• Partner with leaders to develop organisational capability, succession planning, talent development and employee engagement initiatives.
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives and provide coaching and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and workplace investigations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee exit processes in compliance with UK employment law, ACAS guidance, GDPR and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, minimising organisational risk and ensuring compliance.
• Promote an inclusive, high-performing culture through employee engagement, wellbeing and communication initiatives.
• Coordinate training, development and performance management activities to support organisational capability and business objectives.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and employee data with the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures and support their ongoing review and development.
• Collaborate with regional and global HR colleagues to support business, site and group-wide initiatives.
• Support compensation, benefits and reward programmes, including market benchmarking and salary review processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience in a generalist HR, HR Business Partner or equivalent role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management processes.
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong communication, judgement and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment.

Summary

The Human Resources Manager plays a key strategic and hands-on role in developing and implementing people-focused initiatives that support our organizational goals. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with overall organizational goals.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and policy adherence.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal resources as needed/required. Management of site UI, WC, EEO, etc.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, training recommendations and disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase employee engagement and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Leads recruitment efforts and develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
• Payroll management; work with managers to ensure timecard accuracy and consistency. Reviewing final ledger for accuracy before payments are released.
• May include support and interpretation of employee benefit programs, company vehicles, training development, etc.
• Ensure site is maintaining employee records, data and reporting with the highest degree of confidentiality and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• Coordinate/develop training plans as needed. Manage annual review process and assist in performance management including both compensation/incentives and warnings/discipline process.
• Other tasks and projects as necessary or assigned.

Education and Experience

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in a Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field
• Minimum of 7 years work experience in Human Resources

Desired:

• Masters in an HR related field - preferred
• SPHR
